The scales include a measuring platform, a signal preprocessing unit, a personal computer with an ADC board, and software.
The measuring platform is a section of rails installed on a special stand and separated from the path by gaps. It is based on a gravel cushion, sensors and mechanical suspensions. The signal under the action of previous amplifiers enters the computer through the ADC board. After receiving the signal, the software registers it, if necessary, processes it and prints the result on the screen and printer.
Weight measurement takes place in three stages:
- after starting, the weight load curve is measured over the measuring platform at each moment of time.
- those with weight (wheel axles) are selected from the object signal.
- processing of the received information for selection of finished parts: axle, wheelset, wagons, locomotives.
Railway scales of automatic mode independently decide on the start and end of weighing registration, while when using the manual mode of operation, the operator starts and stops the system manually.
