The E-WIM 400 systems have been developed to prevent heavy vehicle overloads, by means of axle load weighing, and vehicle classification. High-speed weighing systems WIM (Weigh-In-Motion: weighing in motion) allow you to weigh vehicles without stopping the flow, which plays an important role as a warning system in traffic control areas.
The principle of operation of the E-WIM 400 system is based on reading and processing signals from piezoelectric sensors and electrical circuits installed on the road surface. Thus, the system determines the total mass of the vehicle, the distribution of mass on each axis and group of axes. The system can work both in automatic mode, with the help of warning lights, and integrated into a system consisting of accurate scales, a video surveillance camera and a control computer.
The model has power inputs for standard acid batteries and solar cells. For communication over long distances (up to 1 km) there is an isolated RS-422 port, for shorter distances and local diagnostics – RS-232. There is a GSM modem for communication over longer distances.
