Industrial weighing equipment: types and features

Over the entire period that mankind has been using weighing equipment, it has undergone many external and technical changes, but the purpose of scales has remained unchanged – weighing cargo and goods.

In this article, we would like to talk specifically about industrial scales from the ESIT company. Such scales are used in many industries for weighing cargo with or without containers, accounting for raw materials, finished products and goods.

Logistics centers, machine-building enterprises, companies working in the food industry or metallurgy constantly use such equipment as platform scales. Similar weighing equipment is used for weighing various loads: bays, pipes, other blanks weighing no more than 10 tons.

Car scales are also often used, which are necessary in many areas of the economy. With the help of an indicator, such scales can be connected to a PC. Scales of this type are used when weighing various cars, both loaded and empty.

Wagon (railway) scales for weighing goods transported by rail. It is a platform with rails built into a railway line. There are wagon scales for static weighing (for undercarriage weighing) and railway scales that measure weight in motion without uncoupling the wagons. The most popular railway scales are 2- and 3-platform scales.

There are also electronic crane scales, they are used for weighing goods, for the movement of which crane equipment is used.

The choice of weighing equipment is a responsible measure, since the efficiency of most production processes depends precisely on the reliability and accuracy of the equipment for measuring weight.
